I would buy the best Daiwa or Shimano you can afford.
I say that in every “which reel” thread.
Does anyone have this reel yet? I heard about this a few a months ago, and it has been released recently.
It looks like it could be a nice match for the TCB rod.

The other reel I thought about pairing the TCB with is the Ballo from Leland's.

I've been very happy with the Ballo reel especially at that price. Good luck with whatever you choose.
Go with Daiwa or Shimano mid price 30/60$, they will serve you well.
I just bought two Shimano Siennas to replace a couple that were a little tired. For the $30 cost I think they’ll do just fine and have shown a smooth drag on a 5lb 1oz tilapia I boated a while back. No first hand info on the two you mentioned.

I field tested the Ballo reel. It performed as I expected a reel in that price range to perform. We had it on a TSS rod....which is virtually identical to a TCB rod. We boated 30 black nose crappie like you see in the pic....nothing less than 14 inches on that day....and we also had to deal with a ton of big buffalo....see the pic. The combo worked out fine. If that is your budget I would say go ahead and get it. But I think you would be far better served if you could spring for a Shimano Sedona....or as has already been said...the best Shimano or Daiwa you can afford.

Off topic here but I read those buffalo can live over 100yrs and average 80-90 years of age.
