SK ... only thing I can tell you is to download the Crappie.com App & post your pics thru it.
All the ongoing updates & tweaks to the site over the last couple of years has messed with people's pics, turning them sideways (& even upside down)..... me included. And I don't do Crappie.com on my phone. I post my pics thru the app into the Testing Area Forum, then copy/paste from there into my posts. I do all my posting on my PC.
It has something to do with certain phones vs some site updates ... and the orientation code isn't recognized by the site, so it's "turned" to correct the orientation (or something to that effect). I can't even post old pics, taken by camera or phone, from my PC's photo files without them coming out sideways or upside down. I hear you can put them in a program like Paint & turn them and save them, then post them (which is, I think, what "G" or "D" has done to other member's tilted pics) but I'm not geek enough to understand all that stuff.

I use a free photo editor called irfanview. Open the pic, rotate if needed, auto-adjust color, resize to 1000 x 750 pixels (perfect size for web publishing, and reduces the file size quite a bit so it uploads very fast), and save in jpeg format with a new name (preserve the original). Takes 4 mouse clicks. I do this to all pics I upload to the web, and they are always the correct side up.
I recommend uploading to the CDC server rather than using a photo-hosting site. That way the links don't get broken and red "x'd" when the site goes away, or starts being silly like photobucket did. This has happened to a lot of the "sticky", or pinned threads on many forums, where the pics are no longer there due to broken links, making the threads less useful and stale.
Also avoid "quoting" others posts with pics (unless you remove the pics), because it redundantly add the pics to the thread, and wastes resources in some cases (depends on the site).
