    Default Ode to the shellcracker

    Dedicated to my friend Jawatek

    Truly I must tell
    There is no more smell

When i look at my spots
    There are no more dots

    I'm feeling very blue
But I'm afraid it is true

    I'm feeling great fear
That it will be another year
    Before my shellcracker's do reappear.

You sir are a poet, that I do know it.
    Gone by June
    Way too soon
    When we see the Redear
    It will be next year

Randy will then move down river to his trusty Spot
And will be casting for a KY Spot
Shoot Fire That Joker will dig
    He will be big
Sore lipped they will be from his Gekkabijin Jig

Yella Jacket dude got the gear indeed
Findin those Ears right where they breed
Scope them he does, they don’t stand a chance
Right in the middle of their Springtime Dance

Indiana Cracker guy posted a Pig
Now I know that Joker did dig
JDM gear has brought him this year
Some fun and a broke rod, but not shed a tear
It’s all about fun.....and that beloved Red Ear.

LOL. Very nice! It is tragic when they disappear off the beds, but I have many new waypoints for next spring. I have to go vote, but then I will grab my rain gear and go see if there is any bed-picking to be had yet.

Bigger in Texas or so I am told
SK with a hand tie and a nibble did indeed strike gold
On the old You Tube we did see
A Gator, a Red ear a Gill, and some Panfish fried up
    a true delicacy!

We cannot forget Sonny from left coast C.A.
Auto jigs with crickets he offered up in a different way
Trolling for Gills and the monster Red ears in the depths of LP
Size, Girth, and weight we did see.
No boat, no marina on a hiatus he may be
But just look on the Big Fish Thread for those Cali beauties!

Now as for the Outlaw, in a League of his own
A Cracker to him may just be a Ritz
Hot Dogs and a jighead, he does give them fits
But only the Gills, he does rip their lips.
Crappie beware, I preach Gloom and Doom
Because when he steps from the truck.....
    It is KABOOM.
