Old dog can learn new tricks.
WV is not known for massive bluegill, though we do have some decent ones.I fished a 9 acre lake today, and struggled to find any gills of size.Digging through my tackle I found a bag of 2” gulp minnow, like magic the bite came alive.
I admit,I would have never thought 7-9” gills would attack a 2” minnow,I tend to downsize for gills, but perhaps I’ve been wrong all along.I also fished honey worms wacky style for the first time, I must say, wacky out fished the standard thread the hook style technique 5 to 1.
