    Default Mixed bag


    Took my 11 year old out fishing this morning and he outfished me. He caught most of the redear and the catfish. Water was only 67 when we started and finally found 70-71. It's a late spring in Kentucky and I think there's a pretty big wave still to come. That's just my opinion.

    Oh yeah, son broke my Triple Cross!!! I cringed! Didn't really get mad at him...Unfortunately my boat just doesn't setup well for rods. Not too happy with my Alumacraft.

    Beautiful fish! Sorry to hear about the rod. It’s done at Nickajack. I did catch a few fish today but the beds are empty for the most part. Been a very odd spring for sure.

    Oh man I hate to hear about the rod, but it happens, broke my Triple Cross tip also a couple years back. That is a good looking mess of fish there, minus old whiskers.

    Nice mess of fish. Probably the main reason I don't own "upper echelon" fishing equipment.... I am pretty clumbsy and don't protect my equipment enough. But I absolutely do understand y'all's appreciation for it.

    Seems like a lot of us are in that club. Nice catch anyway. Way to shrug it off. I know that wasn’t easy.
