    Default Personal best Redbreast Sunfish.

Been fighting vertigo for a week now...just won't go away. Did get out on the water yesterday to scout for beds up in the lake.....not a single bed was found.....not a single fish. Headed to the tail race to an old trusted spot...and it produced big time. Caught a lot of redbreast and bluegill..white bass and one 16 inch Smallie. Turned out to be a great day for quantity and pretty good quality. Lot of bluegill in the 8-8.5 inch range and same with the redbreast. My PB redbreast came in at exactly the 10 inch mark. Love catching those things....fight like a shell cracker. All fish caught on a Sow Bug or Bison colored Trout Magnet with a Daiwa Gekkabijin 1.5 gram jig head with #8 hook. Line was 2.3# test Varivas Ester Mono. Rods use were MegaBass ShoreLuck Limited 6' 8" UL and Fine Tail Banshee 6' 7" Area Trout Rod. Even though the Banshee is rated as a light action rod that rating means light action for an "Area" trout rod. The rod truly is an UL rod. Going to get back out when I can. If the vertigo does not let up I realize I may miss the spawn.......it really keeps you from doing much of anything.

Hate to hear about the vertigo. The fish are bedding up here, just way back in the warmer protected pockets. Those are some pretty Redbreast, not common up here in the landlocked highland reservoirs, but I do catch a few every once in a while. Hope you did a video showing the bend of the Megabass rod.

That's dedication - vertigo but still in a boat! Some nice catches!

I hate to hear about the vertigo. My Dad gets that from time to time too. He says it is no good. This crazy spring weather will calm down sooner or later and the bluegill redear will get with the program eventually. Hang in there Randy!
