Default Bluegill and South Florida Exotics

Spent one evening fishing the canal closest to my house. I've fished it a few times before and it's nothing to get excited about, but it does provide a great opportunity to wet a line without having to travel much. Ended up catching a bluegill, a couple mayan cichlids, and a jaguar cichlid. The jaguar is always a cool catch since they're rarer than the more widespread mayan cichlid. I've only found 3 bodies of water around here that have them. Anyway, hope you like the video.

Don't want to clutter this board too much with my videos so I'll just post my newest one here. Just released it today. Lots more exotic cichlids from a different South Florida canal. Didn't get any jaguars in this one, but I sure made up for that with the number of mayans.

If I lived near those canals, I'd be out there every day with a fly rod.

Go to Bass Pro or a fly shop, buy a cheap fly combo, and sign up for whatever fly fishing class they offer.

    You can thank me later.
