    Default Drop Shottin'

Fired up the drop shot rig for about an hour this evening. Pulled in 31. With the beautiful weather and the full moon it was quite an evening.

Very nice report and some great pictures. Drop shotting works for most freshwater species.

Awesome catch, never drop shot from the bank. I think that VA Crappie dude does it also. I have always drop shot from the boat in deep water, +20ft in the Fall of the year. Maybe I am missing something for this time of year?

Drop shotting from the bank is good for when you don't want to use a float and need some casting distance, or you just want to given the fish a different look. Plenty of fish can be caught. If you ever watched any of EPF's videos, you'll see he uses the drop shot often.

I used to drop shot sunfish a lot more than I do now. It is an excellent way to pick off bluegill off the bed with crickets!
