    Default Triple Cross Action

They finally stopped sluicing the Big Indian this weekend and the water levels actually came up a little bit, that means the Creek Bite is on again. Covid-19 has interrupted my work schedule, off last week for Spring Break and off again this week for precautionary measures....gone fishing I am! Took the Majorcraft Triple Cross tonight, almost strung up the 6.3 UL Area Trout Rod, but was afraid the Bank Bullies would be back in force with the rising waters, and was I right about that. Supper cooked and cleared, I hit the bank about 6:30. First 7 casts I stuck 5 Bass and landed 4 of them.

Two Small Largemouth and a respectable Spotted Bass (13in) fell for the RootBeer Trout Magnet cast on the 3lb Unitaka Braid. Now if you look up on the JDM Rod board you will see an 8lb Green Carp that the Yeller Jacket dude down in GA whooped up on with his Triple Cross. Great Fish, my fourth one didn’t compare, but I was happy to get the 16.5 Bigmouth in and make her famous. The Triple Cross in 7.3 is an awesome all around Rod, cannot say enough about it. Proof is in the pics.

Fish #5 hurt my feelings bad, casted up towards the current and stuck a small freight train that I never turned or saw....

The Great Blue Heron on the Left side of the Falls was getting his supper also. Anyway, tied on a Diawa Gekajibin jig head and put a buggy looking thing on to maybe entice a Smallie, but caught a darned line sided fish instead, they will eat anything when they are hungry.

It started getting dark and my most favorite fish finally moved up and started their rat a tat bite, I stuck several, big and small.

The last fish of the night made my day. Since it was getting dark I changed to the Greenie Weenie and wham, no peck here then it was pandemonium.... an 8+ in Gill!

Messed up my jig he did, but I didn’t care. I figured since Sonny from CA hasn’t posted here for a while I might give his favorite pose a go.

Very well done! I'm thinking about getting the TC 6'8" model in a solid tip. My tubular Triple Cross is rigid, thinking the solid tip will be less rigid.
