In your latest video I noticed you were using a Fluorocarbon line in 3lb made by Sunline. How does it compare to this nylon line? Just curious, especially on the hard pulling Whites.

Stan that Sunline FC line is great but the next time I buy some it will be the 2# test. The 3# test handles 3 gram baits very well....you can cast 2 gram with it but not very far...and 1 gram is a no go with the 3# test FC. It is more sensitive than the nylon. I feel more in control when fighting hard pulling fish with this line. I highly suspect it tests out greater than 3 pounds.

I guess I don't get to fish often enough to worry about it, but how long will a line of that gauge last before needing replaced.
Alan
I fully expect to get a full year out of it.....maybe a few months more.

funfishers thanked you for this post
We have now played with the 2, 2.5, and 3lb of the BMS Fluorocarbon, the 2lb cast significantly farther for me on 1.5gr or less baits, than the 3lb we started with. 2.5 is close distance wise to 3lb with similar break strength to the 2lb... I was hoping the 2.5 would be the end all, but the 2lb is plenty strong and casts almost as far as I can with the Varivas ester.
Yodie where did you find the 2# test?

Well randy, here’s hoping it performs as well as we need it to. I ordered some of it a few days ago, along with some of the bright green stuff(forget the name) . The smaller guides of the Leyland rod I have likes the Stren Crappie 2lb ok but I think I can gat a better cast out of some Nanofil or some smaller diameter line. I have a reel with the 2lb Nanofil on it but I want to try other lines with an in biased eye. The 3lb Fireline Crystal doesn’t git it. Maybe after it’s used a while and softens some but to much rigidity right now. If I’m as throwing 1/32 or heavier it would be extra sweet and tough, but the heaviest I use lately is a 1/43 and down to 1/80. Looking forward to this.
I have some 1lb Nanofil but just haven’t felt that brave yet.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
The 2# fire line Siglon F is a great throwing line, I throw 1/64th oz 25'- 30' with it. I use the orange to see. I am using 3# ester on my other set ups. I use JDM rods in 5.5 to 7' long. I have some of the more expensive lines coming. Don't you love it?
A lot of fun!
Asian Fishing Portal originally, but I can't seem to find it on their site today.
SUNLINE Shooter FC SNIPER BMS AZAYAKA 82.5yds.(75m)-2lb
Has it now, I have never ordered from them, but they take PayPal so Im not too concerned, I will order it from them soon as I need another spool or two. We have found it on eBay as well for a slightly higher but still reasonable price with shipping included.
