    Default Warmouth

Went to the lake yesterday for an afternoon of relaxing. Water temperatures were in the mid 50s, so this had been over a week that they were below 60 degrees.
All I could manage in the normal places were small fish, so I figured they were making their move deeper.
Moved to structure in 15 to 20 foot and started getting bites, but it was light and slow.

I caught bream and crappie in the same spots, but let me stress it was light bite. You almost just had to know they were on there
I also caught a warmouth, or goggle eye as we call them.

I point this out because it pretty rare to catch in my home lake.
    Had a good day.

That last one is a nice looking fish. They are colored up a little different here in TN, but still cool to catch.

Cool fish and they fight like no tomorrow. I get some here and got them on the beds a year or two back. They like being around wood, and hard to turn them when they get a mind to go get wrapped up in stuff.

Caught one on a spinnerbait years ago. Would have sworn I had a 5 pound bass.
