those are some really pretty monsters !!!......looking forward to acquiring a few jdm rods myself.........btw,,,what are lake-lice ?......also looking through your pictures , have you ever recognized a fish that you have previously caught ?.....
Trolled the mid - range water (39 to 21 FOW) for the suspended hens and found some very nice chunks. I broke out with an almost 12 and an almost 11 double and then we got into some plump CNBGs. Got Tu thinking about JDM rods now... Had to bail early - lake lice were horrendous and I forgot my patience at home!! Have to hit this spot tomorrow - "strike while the iron is hot".

lake lice=pleasure boaters/jjet skiers who see that your fishing and will contiuously come in the area just to upset the fishing. Also causing wakes to rock your boat and see how close they can get to knocking someone in the water...lake lice

Goodness gracious those are some chunks. Our lakes are falling fast and thinning out even faster. School has started, dove season opens soon and our first cool spell is coming this week. All signs of Fall and Less Lake Lice

thnx for the comments
ulr - I've never seen 2 CNBGS with the same markings and I'm not sure if I've re-caught one. I know my mentor (Jim Simpkins) has done it before. He broke a big fish in the morning and came back in the evening and caught it again - fish still had the jig in it's mouth. JD covered the lake lice thing - so unnecessary and extremely annoying.
Stan - I vote for school all year! Prime time is coming...

oh !! i understand now.....yes , they infest this area too , at times.....in the summer they really have to work to get into the slew where i live , the mouth of the slew is very small and gets congested with vegetation ,,,,only the die-hard river-lice are willing to put out enough effort to get in.............thanks for the definition .
Very nice fish Sonny!
