Went to lake hickory in NC and put 110 of these devils in the ice chest, and released countless others. There's no limit on them, they are considered an aquatic nuisance species and eat the eggs of other fish. They are like a better tasting version of a white bass. Fight good, too. I was grateful for my electric fillet knife today. Gonna be eating good for awhile!

Well I gave 50 to my friend Kevin so it didn't take too long... I have cleaned over 100 perch in one session, and it does take at least 2 hours to fillet them, even with the help of an electric fillet knife.
And these things are a blast on light gear, I use the B and M ultralight jig pole. I use three hooks on the same line, each baited with a worm. Fun when you get all the hooks loaded. Those things are such a vicious fish, almost like piranhas down there.

Guys, here's the finished product. Fried em up cajun style(rolled in yellow mustard, seasoned flour/cornmeal) and served with dilly beans and pickled okra. Didn't last but a few minutes. Cast iron skillet done good tonight.
