White trout magnet, or gulp maggots work great up here in Oregon. I also love to use 1.5" white/red crappy tubes slid over a #8 egg hook. slow retrieve under a weighted bobber.
A 1.25 Lindy Watsit and a 1.5 Southern Pro bream bug are my favorite bluegill plastics.

Normally you guy fish for bluegill with bobbers? How deep? I’m thinking of cast it out let sink and slow drag or hop.
I use several methods. I've used a bobber with red worms, jigs etc. I will also fish a red worm with a basic hook and small sinker on the bottom and also cast and slow retrieve a small jig.

I usually go about 2 feet down..
The most common bream here, at least for me, is the green sunfish. These have a lot bigger mouth than say a bluegill, and can be caught on bigger lures. But ... my favorite that catches all types of bream, crappie and small bass, is the South Pro Creek Spin with a small plastic. Trout magnets are good, but a bit small in diameter for the creek spin.
I haven't found these for sale anywhere and had to order them direct, 1 inch Charlie Brewer sliders. The 1 1/2 inch is good too, and available lots of places.

The bream here seem to like bright colors, especially PINK and CHARTREUSE.
I caught this spotted bass a couple years ago, on a creek spin.
I like the looks of that creek spin.

Lunkerhunt Maybug in olive is my go to soft plastic for gills and redear. I cut the first two segments off and fish them on a 1/48 jig with a #10 hook, no collar. Lot's of fry in the lakes now so try to keep my baits around an inch long. No need to tip these with anything.
