I’d be the guy standing on the bank with a big smile on his face. Most definitely I would do that. Size matters but fun trumps that when they’re all over whatever you offer. Beautiful longears.

I don’t intentionally target waters with little ones, but sometimes it’s a happy accident. My boy wanted me to drop him off at the city park the other night, so I grabbed an ultralight and made a few casts with trout magnets. Wound up catching 20 or so in an hour, with these two 7 inch monsters being among the biggest.Name: IMG_0966.jpg

Catching bluegill on an ultralight rod is super fun. One of my favorite past times.

Sunfish colorations in general are amazing to look at and catching them on different soft plastics can be a challenge. Better than catching nothing for hours.

entertaining little fish for sure , and I will in fact target them for fun if given the chance .
heck my first fish was a real large bass that I foul hooked as it ran over to see what all the bream were after or to try to eat one of them .
pulled the hook out of it after quite a tussle and sure wanted to hold it . man was it a pretty colored up bass
