While they weren’t as active as last week, I was pleasantly surprised at the outcome of todays trip. Tried a couple of places that I knew of but hadn’t been to in a while. They also did well also. What also gave me a big smile was that my hand ties did very well. I tried to get pics of the jig still in the mouth but they had other ideas. Getting it in the pic was as good as I could do. I have the drag set light and a couple of the Redbelly’s and ‘Gills took advantage of that. One redbelly must have hit going the other way cuz the drag sounded off like the largemouth I got later, and he wasn’t but 7”. Couldn’t control him til he quit showin off. The bigger one in the pic didn’t fight near as hard. Long story a bit shorter, I released over 40 fish today with over half being worthy of a dinner invitation. And not all were red or dark like I usually post of, but some were light colored like normal bluegill. Several of them were over 7 but none over 8”. Shellcracker, LMB and crappie were also seen today, and thankfully no gar or mudfish. Another plus was that I only handled 2 rods today, both with 2lb test. Launch about 7 and home about 1, I’ve got a rod to build. I. Better get busy. Enjoy the pics, I sure enjoyed taking them. Hope you get out soon, and maybe I’ll see you there. Til then.....Skeet
