    Default LP 05 02 19 - finally got back out

    Was down for a couple of days - got wore out after fishing 6 days in a row. Had to go to the bone cracker yesterday. Caught some fish today that are post spawn (?), mostly female, and the surface temp went back down to 68F...… Some fish were caught going over 35 FOW. Not only that - found out I was continually trolling to far to the right from where I should be. Always leave the pond with new knowledge.

    Outstanding days of fishing for sure. Those are some beautiful fish and well worth a trip to the bonecracker.
    I can feel ya. I used to go to the cracker three times a week and I'll tell ya'... it really seemed to help at the time.
    Thanks for sharing you fishing trips with the rest of us.

    I know what you mean about to many days in a row. Saturday at work kicked my butt. Great fish. Thought about it a lot today but the wind was stiff here.

    After a couple of injuries and long therapy and chiropractor gigs, I learned to stretch most of my issues out and usually feel better in short order, unless I didn’t get to it before it got bruised. Hope you find some comfort soon.

    Good to see you got back on some good fish, hope the cracking helped. I was tired after four days of fishing out there and suggested taking a day off but Sonny insisted we get out hoping to get my 12". Turned out day 5 was the best day for numbers and size and caught my PB as well. You can't catch them if you don't have a line in the water. Going to fish for the first time today. I hope you get a 13" soon, it's coming I'm sure of it.

    Thnx Jim - Was thinking (laughing to myself) about your two most asked questions while we were fishing;

    "Are you going to get that?" and "Are you stuck?". SoCal fishing is waaay different.

    That big girl you caught thought it was a tuna and took off. It probably ran 15-20 yards and when you didn't react I asked if you were going to get that. Then when you set the hook the rod bent over and I thought she had you in a bush. It did but you went back for her and got her out. That was the hardest fighting gill I ever saw. I think she fought harder than the big male you caught the next day. Incredible fish !!! Waiting for the rain to stop here and then get out for a couple hours. We've had over 5 inches of rain since I've been back and all the rivers are flooding.
