Default Bass raiding the beds ?

The bass activity has picked up a lot. Are they raiding the beds of fry or looking to spawn themselves . Their eggs don't seem to be ready . Your thoughts . Kept 12 bass the last two trips but caught at least that many more . Had a few nice bream as well . The bass offer a good fight on the okuma ultra light . Name: 20190429_185109.jpg

Both.....they are using same areas to spawn and then they hang around to feed on spawning bluegill. I spent the whole day yesterday looking for bluegill and or beds at Nickajack. No beds at all and the bluegill were scattered. What wasn't scattered were the largemouth. I go through this every year. While it is a lot of fun to catch largemouth 15-18 inches on 2# test and a JDM UL I was not really in the mood to have to deal with them....LOL. It will just get worse with them the next few weeks as the bluegill here begin their spawn. Congrats on your catch.

    Regards

We fished them gills Saturday. Fish were scattered, no beds yet. Also caught a lot of bass, but for the most part, they were smaller than the bream. Name: 20190427_102817.jpg
