After the first couple of days using the Soare it was moved to second string backup rod. It didn't have enough muscle to turn the bigger fish and keep them out of the brush. Lost a few big ones and used heavier rod like my Loomis mag lite and CALZANTE EX which is a 7'3" ultralight. Sonny loaned it to me and I fell in love with it, and now it's mine. I got my biggest with it.

Have to agree with Jim. Beautiful light rod - nice action - but didn't have the muscle in the jungle. It is so critical to get the fish turned and going up - 1st instinct of these fish, when they get hooked, is to get into the trees.
Thnx Troy I like the male caught the nest day better.
