Nice catch and a great looking rod. Maybe they will come back out with that model, I read a lot about it. Keep the reports and pictures coming, it is about to be prime time for Gills and Crackers. Welcome to the board.
I was warned that this would happen but now I’m already thinking what’s my next rod going to be. Even though I’m in debt over this one. Then there is more jig heads I’m constantly picking up. And the ester line which is awesome and I can definitely tell the difference even from good nylon mono. The Tatula reel balances well but I am longing for a shallow spool. It never ends. At least I don’t have to buy burgers on the way home cos unlimited fish “sammiches”.

Welcome to the board from Central Florida. Some very nice fish, and it would have been my choice for the use of the time off as well. I haven’t gone down the JDM road yet, on too many other roads already. I started 2lb stuff a couple of years ago and haven’t been the same since. Already sold most of my trolling rods. I had some blackened pompano a while back, and thought that a blackened bluegill sammich would be off the charts. Just found the seasoning so the Sammie’s ain’t far off. Enjoy, and take us along when you can. Til next time........Skeet

Not to get to far off topic but I had a blast catching pompano on vacation last year and they taste fantastic!
I agree about pompano they are the perfect saltwater fish beautiful, hard fighting and tasty. By more luck than skill I caught my first North Carolina salt water citation last year.
