I use the Orvis (Becker) knot. I don't think I've ever had it break.
I am playing around with Ultra light fishing for bream, namely 2# line. What is the best knot for this light of line? When I break off, it is always at the knot. I wet my line and do all the right stuff but to know avail. I know the knot is the weakest point but they are breaking off to easy. At 72 years old, I can not see as well but need a good easy knot, I use Colored line, gold, green or brown. In Mono or Copolymer.
Many thanks in Advance- Trypman1

Man, thank you, took some practice but I got it. That is a miracle knot, Again, I appreciate you. Happy Fishing

If you can tie a Granny knot, you can tie a Palomar. Rated as the strongest mono knot there is and also great for braid (which lots of knots aren't).

I use the Palomar - easy to tie.
I've been using the Trilene knot for over 40 years. No problems, no worries.

Richard Gene the Fishing Machine on U-Tube has a Loop Knot that is easier than the standard Loop and you can almost tie it in the dark .. I have been working on some light Reels for 2,4, and 6 pound line and the Bass Pro Crappie Max reel has the best Drag and better features than many of the high dollar light Reels
For a 'fast' know I usually use the palomar. For loops, I use any one of about three different ties. Don't use the Huckabee tho. I make a mess of it. I've never had an issue with loop knots over fast knots as far as strength of knot. I mostly throw 2 or 4 lb test Vicious,or 4 lb Mr Crappie.
