    Default new arrival

after 3 weeks of shipping from japan i got my tict ice cube 6'9" mebaring rockin' drift rod. this is an incredible piece work. found a company advertising on ebay that had 3 of these discontinued rods left. i was disappointed in the shipping though. instead of a heavy cardboard or pvc tube it came in a cheezy cardboard box and it was mashed in at one point so much that my postmaster held it at the post office till i could come by and look at it there. i went over it with i fine toothed comb an could not find any damage. it was wrapped in a heavy foam not just bubble wrap. you'd expect when you invest that much money with someone to get the best packaging available. anyway the rods ok, an even though the heat index is predicted 110 here tomorrow im going fishing.

At those prices, the fish better jump in the boat after you wave the rod over the water... like some religious rite.

I have one JDM rod (Yamaga Blanks Blue Current.) I ordered directly from Japan on a Sunday. I received the package in the mail on the following Friday. The rod was well-packed and in perfect condition. I ordered from Japan Angler, one of the companies Alphahawk recommended. I would happily order from them again.

i got one other jdm and it came in less than a week and was shipped in a schedule 80 pvc pipe. if the plane had crashed i think the rod would have been fine. i dont know what happened with this one. i could track it, it stayed osaka international airport for like 10 days. o well i got it now and happy with it.

I pair it with either a Daiwa or Shimano JDM 2000 series reel......it balances nicely. The Shimano 1000’s sold in the states are equivalent to the 2000 series out of Japan.

I got one as well. Off eBay, about 2 weeks in transit. Was beginning to think I was being scammed. Then it arrives. A work of art. Don't know when I will get to try it out but so looking forward to.
