Aggressive little dude! They do have some pretty colors.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
looks like it could be a red ear to a bluegill , for sure a mix though and very nice size
sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales
Definitely a gillcracker, certainly was aggressive to attack a crankbait that size. Caught a couple this year here in Missouri. I love the colors on that one.
Thanks all!
Curently we are culling all LM Bass under 15" and relocating them. We also added about 50,000 breader size BG and coppernose over the last four years.
Also tons of the good (expensive) artificial structure under docks and reefs at about 12-15' just above the thermocline all for the gills to have some security. This is a Private community 350 acre lake and all work by volunteers.
They put too many Grass Carp in the lake 15 years ago and not a weed/plant in site.
Trollin for White Perch today and caught this "thing"
Typical 10-13" White Perch. Really good eatin.
Artificial structure
I just caught my first one like that two days ago in Lake D'Arbonne -- I had called it a red ear because of the colors but it had the same Black patch. There was a sand bar about 10 feet deep with scattered nesting bull Bream
Boy! If the smallmouths and crappies cross-breed we're going to be really testing our panfish equipment. lol
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.
