Default Bluegill Jigs and Gilly Gilly

Got some to test , been out of time to do so . Hit the river by work at lunch though and the testing went well . No monster gills in there best I can tell but sometimes its pretty good for native bluegills .
The happy/sad part is a big ole bullfrog when I first got there , I used to hear them all the time in there years ago and about 4 or 5 years ago nothing .they just seem to have gone away .
I imagine pollution is the culprit but who knows for sure . Anyway I strolled up under the bridge and low and behold sitting on an old pc. of inner tube beside a shopping cart in the water sits a nice size bullfrog ….
I guess even though mankind disrespects the world some of the species might endure our relentless pursuit of destruction to the planet .
about 12 inches or so under a float slow dragging the lil jig along the shoreline in about 2 to 3 fow got it done .
so it seems to me ….

Default Bluegill Jigs and Gilly Gilly

Definitely not the Bullfrog and Lily Pad picture I show my grand babies in the children’s books, but at least they too are adapting. The Bluegill pictures are nice, size looks big enough to stretch the line and bend the pole, and the bugs look like they passed the test!

Nice jig ! Looks like it works . It makes a person feel good to make something that does what it’s supposed to . It does me anyways . Well done ., Gillchaser

I was given some jigs like that a while back, just need to use em. So pretty I hate to lose em. Nice fish, great for a lunch break bite.

Yep. Bull frogs also affected when Asian carp ate everything green in Lake Austin.
