    I do have a bunch!
At one time, I had seventy rods (and I'm not a spider rigger.) I've "cut back" to thirty now. (I sold 27 fly rods alone!)

What's left is a mixed bag of fly, spin, and some Euro rods/poles.

But hey -- I don't smoke, drink or chase other men's wives. I don't bowl, play cards, or watch a lot of sports. My passion is fishing, so I don't mind spending a little money on it.

I’ve got several fly rods I need to sell . Use to be my number one way to catch em . Until all those years of shooting archery caught up with me . I probably have 25+ fly rods . Gillchaser

    Hey db4d , I have a question for you , just curious.
Out of all of the rods you’ve owned , which one have you fished with the most ? I would guess it would be the same as the one you’ve caught the most fish on as well .
Mine is a 5’6” St. Croix UL 4 piece travel rod . Guess cause it stays in the truck all the time . That little rod has caught some fish , some my PB .
If I could only keep one , that would be the one . Gillchaser

I'm gonna have to think about that.

Sorry I'm getting back to you so late. I thought about it ... forgot about it ... got busy at work ... then remembered again.

I tend to fish in phases -- pick one or two outfits and fish with them for awhile and then do something else. For the last year or so, I've been fishing a lot with my lone JDM rod (Yamaga Blanks Blue Current) for bluegill and a St. Croix Premier for bass. This is all casting jigs from my float tube.

As for what I've caught the most fish on, I'd have to go with my float rods or my 12-18' telescopic poles. I've caught loads of fish on those outfits, mostly because I use live bait with them.

It's hard to pick a favorite rod. They're all fun and all do a different job. I will say this, though: my favorite fishing trips of the year are my saltwater fly fishing trips.

Where do you fish with a float tube ? Around here on the south side all of the water reservoirs won’t allow float tubes . You can’t even get in the water with waders on .
I own three of them . A friend of mine and I floated the Ocmulgee river a couple of times . I’m guessing mine probably need new tubes , they’ve been hanging in the garage for about 3-4 years .
Used to fish saltwater inshore 3 or 4 times a year too . It’s been awhile. Gillchaser

Charlie Elliott is my favorite tubing spot. Most of the ponds are great for tubing.

While I've owned three different St. Croix versions in the Panfish, Premier and Triumph, I'm REALLY wanting to try out JDM tackle.

I think the Premier is the best bet of the St. Croix lineup. It was more sensitive than the Panfish and just a little more than the Triumph from my experience.

I used to own a St. Croix Avid 6' light (not UL) rod that was sweet. I sold it as part of my rod culling process, but I kinda regret that one. Very nice rod and similar in price to the lower-end JDM rods.
