    Default Google maps can help.

As my fishing buddy reminded me with this.....you can find some good things on the map sites. Sure looks good......fished it last year and looking forward to fishing it in another couple of months. Name: Screen Shot 2017-02-27 at 5.08.02 PM.JPG

I started using google maps (for fishing) last year. You can search for and find good looking places to try on the water.
Yes, as a matter of fact, I do have a retirement plan...FISHING!

Sure just pull up the name of the lake you want to look at. I pulled up the name of the marina I always launch from and got close to the area I fish. Of course as I said the lake is almost gin clear. I fish 2 big lakes that have clear water and you can see the bedding areas.

    Regards

Google maps rock , most spots don’t have water so clear you can see beds but to be sure the maps show lots of stuff that can give you ideas ....look for really green coves in the summer , the soupy green kind , shad will be thick in them ...predators will be there along with me ....

When I lived in town and didn't have a boat, I used google maps for all of my scouting ventures. It helped me find a ton of areas that no body every considered fishing.

For the person asking how to use it. Pull up a normal map of the area you want to look at. Scroll around until you find a body of water. Zoom in on it. Change your view to "Satelite" and it will give you the picture you are looking for.

I've found ponds out of the way, little bends in a river that created an oxbow, small ponds on city land. Even ways to access areas otherwise thought to be private! Great tool and I still utilize it today!
