It doesn’t matter what you go with....you get one of them on your line is probably going to get cut.

Hey guys,
So while fishing for panfish and crappie, there is pickerel in the area as well. This past weekend I had one cut my line, so I was thinking about going to braid. What should I do in terms of line? Should I just stick with mono or should I goto a braid like 10# (2# mono equ. ) PowerPro?
This is going to be on a 6" panfish setup using the Pflueger President reel.

To be safe, you could go with braid and a mono/fluoro leader. For me, I don't gear up for the occasional toothy monster I might catch. I gear up for what I normally catch and take my chances with the rest. If I lose a fish, it's not a big deal.
