    Default bluegill micro jigs

I use the black micro marabous for bluegill, but I recently met a guy who ties them. He has 1/80oz black, 1/80oz yellow, 1/100oz two tone black/red, 1/100oz two tone black/white, 1/100oz hot pink, 1/64 two tone red/white, 1/32 brown, 1/32 orange, and 1/80 black head orange body.
Plus another dude has 1/32 or 1/64 two tone orange/yellow or green/yellow.
I'm onto black. Any of those other colors good?
Any info would be greatly appreciated by me.
    Thank you and God bless

I haven't seen solid red ones but I'll be on the lookout.
    Thanks

peacock hurl bodies - chartreuse crystal flash in the tail - fluorescent marabou colors for tail or duck flank feathers & calf tail - glow pink anything

I like fluorescent red in my jigs

Best UL hooks are EC Lil Nasties #10, VMC #12 or #10, Matzuo #12 (if you can find them). I prefer black chrome...

No they’re not junk . Sounds like they are your basic marabou jigs . I’ve used black with a good bit of luck . I think they represent a small leach .
Btw , I fish a lot of 1/80th and when the bite gets tough , drop down to 1/100th size .
My favorite is a black woolybooger imitation. Black body with rabbit fur tail instead of marabou , with a hackle palmered (wrapped) body .
Yellows , pinks and oranges have done pretty good in stained water .
I always fish mine under weighted foam float for casting .
This has become my favorite way to catch gills and other fish . You’ll be surprised what will eat those tiny offerings. I’ve also caught LM , crappie , catfish, and carp . Gillchaser

I fish mine under a float too but I've been seeing where they just reel them across bottom so I'm experimenting tomorrow.
I've been using 1/64 oz. Yet I've been seeing 1/80s, so I'm going to downsize.
The black do kinda resemble leeches as long as the tails aren't too short.
I'm going to try squirrel tail jigs after Christmas too. I've been seeing good results on them in YouTube videos.
    Thanks for the info...

    Oh OK. Sorry.
Those 1/64 oz black marabous caught me 15 fish today.
Yup! They went in the bucket.

Glad it worked out for you . All black , is a good all around color . Shows up in stained water and looks natural in clear . Kirby
