Default LP 05 25 17 Good day on the pond

Found a pretty good pattern. Got to fish for a couple of hours this morning...

All fish (CPR'd) were caught using JDM rods, 2 lb. test line, 1/32nd & 1/48th custom chub jigs tipped with crickets. Water temp is only 70F.

Those are some beautiful fish. If I caught just one of those I could scratch one thing off my bucket list.

    Thnx for the comments

LAH - lake Perris is a public lake, couple more out here that have really good panfishing. Fishing for Bluegill, Crappie & Redear aren't high on the list in SoCal.
rh - they probably go from a lb to the last one which would be close to 2 lb

Nice Sonny. That first gill has an attitude. How do you like that rod? I have been using the Gliss line and so far really like it. 8# is .004. I use a 7/6 Gloomis with a 1000 Sustain reel throwing 1/32.

if - fishing the JDM rods is too much fun. It is mind boggling that these rods aren't introduced to the American market. I do miss my Gloomis and St.Croix rods...

nl - using a chub head jig 1/32nd (no blade) and a 1/48th chub head jig (with willow blade & swivel) poured on a #6 Lil Nasty Eagle Claw BN hook. All the bellyspinner style jigs have 3mm glow in the dark eyes - the other style uses a blue 3mm eye. I use custom powder paint both styles.
