Nice fish. I haven't caught any bluegill here in a while. If it is not storms, wind, and rain, it is the spillways being open not letting me into some of my spots. So what do I do when I can't fish? I order me some more JDM gear....LOL. I figure I will have about 20 more years on this earth and during that time I will never see JDM rods in the shops in the USA. I have done a lot of research into to why that is and the conclusion is the Japanese rod builders know that folks in the USA will not pay that much for UL rods. Which is odd in the fact that they are sold in countries with far less per capita income than us. Also UL angling in the USA is just not as popular as it is in just about every other country in the world. Even in 2nd and some 3rd world countries JDM UL rods are the rod of choice. But I guess I will keep buying them....and the reels.....until I kick the bucket.

    Regards

    A sad state of affairs.

Likewise, I have about given up on Euro float gear ever being sold in the US.

It is a sad state. You don't hear/read a lot about the gear or styles that are used overseas. Don't think American manufacturers want the competiton.
