    Default 2lb power pro

Any of you guys use the 2lb power pro?
I usually use 4lb mono but thought about trying this to use to get better jig action and casting distance.

I have some 1/64 oz jigs I'm been working on and also tungsten fly fishing jig hooks with the tungsten beads that I been tying specifically for gills.

Add a leader to it from my fly fishing stuff. Tippet material.

yes we live in the trout capital of the world use lots of 2 lb power pro for lite spinners ect does not twist and really like the berkley nano-fill!!which is like using fly line floats. The best for casting small jig's pricey but worth it.My two cents.

Another vote for the Nanofil. Casts like nothing I have ever used before. Casts a 1/64 better than my best rod casts a 1/32 with mono.

You can look far and wide and you won't find anything to beat the casting distance of 2# test NanoFil...at least anything sold in the USA. I used to use 1#test NanoFil....they no longer make it....casting a 1/64 on that was insane.

I use the Nanofil and have for the last two years After using it mono feels like a rubber band. I have noticed it will stain in muddy water but the fish don't care. I look at it as natural camo.

Another vote for the Nanofil, Skeetbum got me started on it.
I am amazed how far I can cast a 1/64.
If I was a betting man, I could make some money! LOL

Do you mean the 10# - 2# EQ Dia?

I was following this thread hoping to get some data on the PP as I have a spool of it sitting here on my desk which I have not used yet.

As far as NanoFil - I bought a spool of 1# and 2# and while what they say about casting is true it is a really tough job to tie a knot that will not slip out. I lost some really big fish because the knots just pulled free. And, yes I tied using the NanoFil knot. I also tried a Uni to Uni with extra overhand knots in each end to keep it from slipping free - No Joy there either.

I have some Spider Wire 10# - 2# diameter which I like but the Power Pro was less expensive on Amazon.

There is a knot called the NanoFil knot which is sort of a double Palomar for tying to jigs and lures and a modified Albright for joining NanoFil to another line. Neither is easy to tie and easy to get wrong (at least for me).
