Here it is the full moon in May, but not sure if the gills or RE's are thinking spawn just yet in Southern Illinois. Anyone had any luck in the region?

I didn't see any bluegill on beds yet when I was out on Saturday, going to hit a different lake at lunch today and will post what I see there.

I just hope they're at least starting to move shallow and congregate.

I've never fished for them on Rend, but I think I'm headed there so may mix in some bluegill baits while crappie fishing.

I was at Washington co state lake at Lunch and saw some gills in the shallows, I was fishing a little deeper area along the docks, caught a small bass. Didn't have any gills or crappie bites.

You think the chocolate milk of Rend Lake is worth a try yet or wait til it clears up some?

I've not fished Rend any in years, and only limited back then. Sorry I can't help much about Rend.
