    What is the best way to fish for them I catch a few but want to learn more thanks

    Directly on the bottom using redworms. That's a great start, of course there's a lot to learn about finding them/eliminating bad water where they won't be.

    Bad water for redear from my experience is banks with steep dropoffs/bluffs. I've done much better when the land coming down to the bank is gently tapering down to the water. Flats are good water for catching staging fish. Shallow tapering points are good water for redear.
