They look just like Gill beds but will be full of shells. Pea gravel and sand hold tons of them around here.

What are you guys thoughts on Moon Phase. Do they start on a Full Moon Or New Moon or it doesn't matter?

I fished the new moon just last week and the full moon last month. I've caught them on both.

They will on occasion be intermixed with Bluegill or have beds just adjacent to them. If it's a really good spawn spot they will both try to use it.
