Just an hour......
So here in lies the dilemma ....would you drive 45 minutes each way to hit the water for one hour is the question ? Lots of people say that's not right ,but then again I am not lots of people . So off I went to see if the bluegill will cooperate for sure before I get the ladies out that far from home .
Well the bream were not quite what I expected numbers wise and the large versions were not easily found . And to make matters EVEN worse along comes a herd of crappie hammering my lil 1/64 jighead with a tiny pc. a worm on it ! I tell ya sometimes life just aint right , but the good news in this episode is the fish got to go free and it was super splendid afternoon .
Only had one jighead with me on the hike in and one worm and got broke off by something right when it was time to leave .The things some folks will do to ketch a silly fish amazes me .....
P.s. I did have a plastic in my pocket just in case ....got broke off using it when the worm got tired ....lol

Hey....fish when and where you want. I put 40,000 miles a year on a vehicle fishing and folks think I am crazy for doing so. Dumb....I don't think so...just doing what you want to do.

Hey.... Been many a mile for far less rewarding results! Time going and coming home is all part of the blessing of getting away from all else the takes your time. Been more then once I drove 4 hours each way to fish a few hours, because that was where I wanted to be that day! Most often it was a situation of do that or stay home all together!
Now.... Lets see ... is that Honey hole within 4-5 hours of St. Louis? And what day we meeting up to fish it? Southwest Airlines gets me most airports in Texas in about 45 minutes.... that leaves 2 1/2 hours driving from the airport after picking up a rental, unless you picking me up...

hahaha the problem with me is I never know exactly what my plans are ....if I plan to take someone it typically falls apart ....so in many cases like Friday afternoon I just get the got to go thing going on and go .....the one thing I do know is that sometimes the drive is well worth it ....it was a fun afternoon for sure ......thanks for the reads and comments yawl
