    Default goggle eye

Other than little fish, I call this a goggle eye (spelling), what do you call it? Whatever they are called, I had blast catching them on my new micro lite rod and H&H cutie spin. Will post pic of cutie spin if this posting of pics works.

Also called redeye or Warmouth, I believe.

They are also called Rock Bass and I find them mostly in streams around here. They grow a LOT bigger here in West Kentucky and are pugnacious fish that will knock the rod out of your hand if you are not paying attention. My lower pond which is closer to the creek has them and I have some tiny rattle-traps that seldom fail to bring hard strikes.

those are warmouth my friends and rock bass are a little different ....rockies have not much for color most of the time and are really mean lil fish ...warmouth tend to have more color and are a lil less aggressive on large baits like the rockies are ....both are fun panfish though for sure .....love them both equally I do ...nice post

My buddy Jeff has a knack for catching these and we weren't sure what they were so we call them Jeff fish. Now we know.
