this is what I use you can buy them in 3 or 4 sizes

I put a mini swivel and clasp on it and use it as a slip float, make sure to add a bead to your line

And as Crestliner said the fused type line like Fireline Crystal or Nanofil works MUCH better with my little jigs, which go down to 1/100th ounce.
So how do you cut the float down? Sand around the diameter or cut across it?
If I dont ask its my fault for not knowing

I cut across the float. I set up a big plastic jar (the kind pretzels come in at Sams) full of water and took each one of all the size jigs I use and using mono I floated each size with a cut down float, and kept trimming till the float just barely stayed afloat.

I keep my floats in the same sized box as my jigs so I know the jigs in the upper right corner need a float from the upper right corner of the float box.

No - when I feel industrious I will super-glue a piece of a coffee stirrer in the hole of the smallest ones, but most I just fish as they are.

I use glass beads from Hobby Lobby as they slide really well on the fused line. And I tie my own bobber stops from waxed dental floss.

That depends - on anything 1/32nds or under I throw on an ultra-light with 1# Nanofil. It is a pain to tie knots in but it casts like a bullet. This is the same rod I use for the stocked trout in the local park pond. Not much for fishing but great in the eating.

On jigs 1/16th and up I use Fireline fused in 2# test.

Check out Ever Lasting Float, they have one for 1/32 jigs. Great floats, cheap, and last forever...
