I always try to fish eddies.
Good evening all, with the recent rise in waters, I would like to know how I should fish in a bayou where it's sort of a S pattern. Do the baitfish get pushed to a certain spot? Or is everything going to be in the calmer spots.
? Thanks for any info.
So not necessarily where the bait fish and bugs would be pushed to, but where the water would be calm?
i would for sure concentrate on anything that had protection . bream as a general rule dont seem to like lots of current to me .
the down stream or no current side of any laydowns might be good and for sure any coves that are calm would be a good place to look ...
and i bet a small tiny black jig will get the job done well ....maybe tip the hook point with something for some scent ....
and for SURE a bream can smell a worm ...i know this because i have seen them find a worm on the bottom in mud water a many a times when there was no visibility....
and in behind a current break is the ticket ...
