The opposite will happen. The bluegill will eat the bass eggs. Bluegill are the #1 predator to largemouth bass. 5 million is a nice budget for such a small lake. That's nice.
350 acre community lake in Virginia. Part of our plan to brin LM Bass size up.
Cull 1000+ bass under 15" per year
We added structure under docks first
Just added the 7500 5-6"+ Blugill and Coppernose.
Hopefully the bass wont eat too many and we have a good BG spawn next year.
Its a 5 year 5 million dollar effort that is run by volunteers.

bluegill that size will most likely survive the bass and spawn

This whole five year plan is under the supervision of a professional lake management company. We will also be adding pellet feeders that these BG should eat. BG are all to be released at this time.
Here is the structure volunteers are installing under the docks and early results.

Those are some nice gills to start with if all are in that size range. It sounds like a heap of money for a public access lake. A million a year with no labor costs? Sounds like the management company is standing in tall cotton. Wish you all the best .
Actually I misspoke. It is $600k over 5 years, not 5 mill LOL
Still getting them to spend anything on fishing was quite a big deal
It is a private Lak Community.
That sounds cool. A limited access lake would give a fair measure of control. I'm thinking there is a limited access lake where that has been done before. Richmond Mills (sp) comes to mind . Would be neat to end up with 2 lb. gills there.
Yes, on 2# gills, even 1#. Good for y'all!!!!!
one thing for certain I bet at some point there are going to be some really large bluegill in that spot
