What about durability? The reason I ask is I am wondering about using an ajing rod for dock shooting, like an MC TC or N1. On my home lake, dock shooting is the most productive way to catch crappie, except for trolling, which I find boring. I want the lightness and sensitivity of a JDM rod, with a durable fast or ex-fast action for shooting small jigs, like 1/32 - 1/24 or 1.0 - 1.5 g on 2 lb test.

@Ultraslab has been shooting with a Major Craft TC and says it works great. I guess I will try one, too. Looking at the Major Craft TC or N1 T682-AJI. Thanks.

I've talked with Scott about using the TC as a dock shooter. Surprised at his findings but can't mess with success. As to which is more durable...solid or tubular. I have found there is not much difference at all....if any...between the two. If you poke either of them into the ground when walking they both will break. Let's say that a rod is made of 55 ton graphite blank. If it has a solid tip in all likelihood it will be somewhere around a 30 ton material....so less brittle than the main rod itself. When I first received a solid tip rod with a .7mm tip I just knew it would break first time I hooked a fish......LOL. I have found the solid tips to be surprisingly durable for the small size they are. In my opinion the N-One will be a more robust blank due to it being a nano blank....and I firmly believe it will be more sensitive than the TC rod. It is rare I come upon a situation for me to shoot docks....but if I did I too would try to find a JDM rod to do so.

DAIWA GEKKABIJIN MX AJING 75HS-S V Light Game
    MAJOR CRAFT SpeedStyle SSS-642UL Spinning

Both of them came in the mail today and I love the feel of the SpeedStyle. It feels great and I look forward to fishing the river with it this summer. The Gekkabijin rod is super stiff and I am not sure where it will fit into my arsenal. I am almost thinking it will be a good pompano rod. I think it could handle the 1/4 oz and 1/2 oz jigs used to get out past the breakers. I originally thought it would be a good flounder rod but I am not certain. When I say stiff I mean stiff but it might be completely different with a fish on it. Who knows.

Congrats on the rods. I think I mentioned on here that the Daiwa Gekkabijin Ajing rods were the most rigid rod I have purchased. My son ordered the same Speed Style as you.

Of the Tict lineup, what would be a good choice? Is the Ice Cube Finesse a good choice for crappie and redear? Is the Befo a quality rod...I see them for sale.

I'm looking for a 7ftish or so ultra lite or SUL, to complement my Major Craft Triple Cross. I also have two area rods that I love but feel like I need another Ajing or Meberu rod. Help!!LOLOL

Is there a Major Craft Ajing anyone could recommend? What's Major Craft's next Ajing rod above the Triple Cross?

Well.....the Tict Ice Cube Finesse rod is an extremely sensitive rod....a ton of fun to fish......great action for crappie......bluegill......red ear. The befo series does not come close to the Ice Cube. The N-One is a step above the Triple Cross.....but not sure it is worth the 60 buck price difference. You will not be disappointed with a purchase of the Tict Ice Cube Finesse Rod.

I have the 6’9” Tict Ice Cube Rockin Finesse and it’s my designated crappie rod for tossing soft plastics. It is a great rod and I don’t think you would be disappointed.
