Never owned any Daiwa rods with the AGS guides...one of the reasons those rods are very expensive. I did own a couple of MX ajing models years ago with the titanium guide frames. They were good rods but extremely rigid....the most rigid ajing rod I have come across.

I have a hard time accessing Plat's website. It is either extremely slow, or it just won't come up.

Thanks for the info. I was tempted, mainly by the discount, but I managed not to buy one. I don't need another JDM rod, because my Tict IC RP and Yamaga BC nano pretty much cover all the bases for me: trout (GA), crappie, and panfish.

I checked those out as well and about pulled the trigger but held off. I wish I wouldn’t even read the emails from Plat. Haha

If I only had 1...or 2 Ajing rods....I might have bought the 64 model. But I need another Ajing rod like I need a hole in my head....LOL. I go to doctor tomorrow and I fully expect him to tell me go fish.....do whatever I want. Since I haven’t been fishing in 6 weeks I’ve been putting the gas money aside for a new purchase. Been researching area trout rods for the past 6 weeks. Some time in next 2 weeks hoping to pull trigger on a high end XUL rod. But I am also very interested in the new Fine Tail 63 SUL. While not high end it has the new Sic-s guides and a new blank. Waiting on Digitaka to get back to me on the weight of the rod. Would have already bought the Super Bellezza 64 UL but pondered too long now no one has them in stock. Also am eyeing the Daiwa Presso Limited 66 XUL.....and an outside shot is the Abu Garcia Eradicator Real Finesse 67 Slow Taper Special.....decisions decisions.........LOL.

    Regards

Randy, is the Fine Tail the Banshee series, or just the Fine Tail series? Are they two separate rods?? I'm probably going to purchase the 63 SUL you spoke of...what should I expect to pay? Thank you!

Had my eye on that abu Garcia myself But i made it up to my camp at eagle lake for the first time since the flood water receded. Long story short all my extra money will not be buying any fishing tools for a while. 2019 has not been good to me at all.

Unfortunately I don’t think the Banshee line is around anymore. They are 2 different model rods with the Banshee being high end with titanium frames and Torzite inserts. I’m talking about the “New” Fine Tail Area Series. The reason I say new is there are still plenty of the older model Fine Tail being sold. Both Plat and Digitaka though are only selling the new model. The old model had the green blank and the new one has a black colored blank. Cost is between 170-180 bucks delivered.
