    Default Shell Crackers

Had a great day of catching shell crackers....caught over 40 on a Bison colored Trout Magnet using 2# test line. Some were at 12 inches. Had a few Gills in the mix also. I am only posting a few pics.....it seems I have filled up an iPhone 5S with pics of fish. I was barely onto the fish when the storage warning came up on the phone. I will correct that tonight and get most of the pics off my phone so I can add more. If you look close at the 3rd pic down you may think it is a shell cracker...it is not...it is cross between a shell cracker and a copper nose bluegill. These fish put up a great fight. Life is good!

    Regards

Excellent report. We get a lot of the Gill Crackers out here as well. At Lake Perris the cross is with the Coppernose and Redear and at Lake Havasu it is the Northern BG crossed with the Redear.

I am moving to Florida next week and looking forward to trying my hand at catching shell crackers.

I would take that catch any day of the week. That is some powerful good eating there. Congratulations.
