    Default Lake Perris 07 09 15

Tough conditions - stuck it out for some nice BGs.

Beautiful fish. I have read many articles on Lake Perris. I am amazed at how large the bluegill get in the lake. Here in Tennessee we have no public waters with those consistent size Gills. We have plenty of great bluegill fisheries with abundant food but in public waters here 8-9 inch Gills are really nice fish. We only have a few lakes that have the copper nose in them but more are showing up each year. Congrats on your catch.

    Regards

Awesome fish! Does everyone out there catch hubcaps like that or do you just have them figured out? I have never seen someone catch as many gigantic sunfish as you do. Unreal!

    Thnx guys
The fishing is actually better but I don't get to fish long enough or evening. Lucky to fish a few hours in the morning.....
Haven't really got into the big 10" to 12" fish, at LP, since last October - November.
The custom jigs we use is a 1/32nd round head on Tyed Auto style - reptile or glow pink are the main colors. The pattern we use for trolling is the Chub Bellyspinner (00 willow blade) in a 1/48th and a Chub in a 1/32nd - both using a #6 Eagle Claw Lil' Nasty BLN hook.
Paid the dues, D10, and have a great fishing partner - mentor.
