    Default Drag pulling fun.

Went to my Gill spot today......beat the banks in the heat until I had 60 drag pulling Gills and 8 shell crackers. I used a Bison colored Trout Magnet twitching, and under the float. Used Toray 2.5# test line and Tict UL rod. Fish were scattered from deep to shallow. My boat is due in on 1st September and I sure will be glad....walking the banks is getting old quick.....LOL. Life is good!

    Regards

Those are some nice gills. That bank fishing can be a challenge at times.

Great big ole shell cracker in 3rd to last pic...nearly 11". Lay out a sheet of paper- that is a big fish! I just bought a Pelican EVO 8' SOT kayak at Dicks. $249 on sale for $149. I think it is still on sale. Not a bad alternative to walking the banks. It is a great stable kayak for the money. I know you get your boat in 6 weeks...but perhaps as a backup for future??

drb......I just sold off my last fishing kayak in March....LOL. I kayaked fished for the past 5 years and enjoyed it a lot. I had two Jackson Coosas....a Ride 115....a Big Game Prowler II and my last one was a Slayer Propel 10. Due to arthritis and repaired rotator cuffs I just couldn't do it anymore. I had a lot of seat time over the past 5 years but it was time to move on. It is a great way to fish.

Nice looking mess. The fish will be in trouble when you get your boat.
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
