    Default Some more action.


    Hit a couple of lakes this a.m. before it go too hot. The Gills are moving off bed but still managed to catch 40 or so fish. Had some Gill Crackers in the mix.......cross between a bluegill and shell cracker. All fish caught on a Bison colored Trout Magnet and 2.5# test line. Heat ran me off again. A bunch of drag pulling fun. Life is good!

    Great report. I never tire of seeing the nice fish you catch. If those are public waters you better start watching for people following you to the lake . lol
    I would agree that the thin line is probably an advantage in the summer ,but not so much around here when they are bedding unless highly pressured. Nice pictures

    Laurel Hill is a public TWRA Lake and a great Gill fishery. Copper nose were stocked several years back and have taken off very well.

    It is called the "Hawg Trough". I got mine from HOOK1 but I know Cabelas sells them also. No doubt about size when you have one of these in the pic...LOL.
