    Default Neuse River NC Shellcrackers


    Partner and I ended up with 46 fish, probably two thirds were shellcrackers. Water temp around 61-62*f, fish caught from about 3'-7' of water. Not completely on the beds, but not very far off either.

    Nice catch! Are there crackers in Falls Lake? I've caught them in Tennessee for years but never found them here.

    Never fished Falls for anything other than crappie.I'm fairly certain the lake has a decent Shellcracker population.
