    Default Red Ear at Pickwick

Had a good day yesterday at Pickwick with 27 shell cracker caught along with a lot of Gills, 9 catfish, and a few small mouth. I was using a Bison colored Trout Magnet on a 1/16 ounce head to keep it on the bottom for the shell cracker. Fishing with a Phenix Elixir rod and using 2# test line gave me all the fun I wanted. The shell cracker were 10-12 inches in length....most Gills were 7-8 inches with some going 9 inches. The box the fish are on is 10 3/4 inches long. The Gills were caught a ways off bank where as the shell cracker were caught close in to the bank. All the area has a rock...gravel bottom.

You got some mighty good looking fish there, just looking at the pictures makes my mouth water for of that sweet meat and tails.
