Beautiful colors on those gills
Caught a few pretty redbreast sunfish wading the river on Wednesday... Probably caught around 20 of them in the 7 1/2" to 9" range... All fish were caught using a John Deere green Kalins grub 2". I also caught quite a few smallmouth and red eyes. One red eye was pretty fat looked to be around 11" but fell of the hook or I would have grabbed a pic of him. It was a fun day on the water wading.
Beautiful colors on those gills

HAVE A CRAPPIE DAY
I believe the true name are long ear sunfish. But we call em redbreast also. They are very fiesty fish mostly in rivers. There mouths are larger than reg bluegill. And seem to have a mean/ aggressive side to them.
I love catching them things. They eat well also. We tear em up pretty good on rebel crabs and grubs in crayfish colors and also nail a minnow pretty good.
Nice job!
