    Biggest I got was about 13.5
    Look up Idaho new state record perch. Just caught here recently through the ice

    They are very beautiful, they look almost tropical to me with their coloring. I love ice fishing for them as you'll get a few even on the slowest of days and they tend to be nice and fat but honestly they are so extremely common around here that I tend to ignore them for the rest of the year

    They get really big up north don't they? A 2 lb one around here is a very rare fish in my opinion. I've caught them over 14 inches that didn't weigh much more than 1.25 lbs. Suffolk, va

    That is one beautiful fish! Up here in MA, we don't get them that size until mid-fall, early winter, when the "bull" perch come into the Oxbows prior to feed prior to ice up. Very hard to find in the main river once the water warms in the spring though.

    +1 on that! Used to get some monsters up in Canada when younger on vacation. If they were too small to eat they became pike bait!

    nice perch! they can be found in most places here in nj. i catch pretty decent sized ones out of a river i fish in. the average size from the river is bigger than the average size from most lakes they are in
