x3 on tying directly to the jig. First thing I thought when I saw the pic. Your catch ratio should go way up when using a palomar or another knot. Despite what some people think, there are times when good gills will shy away from anything that doesn't seem natural. Try adding a piece of worm or crappie nibble as a trailer for an added attractant.

Just my opinion, lose the swivels and tie directly to the jig with your line. It will slow the fall and increase your catch! Just my 2 cents! Congrats on your catch!

Nice! I got a tiny lite from bass pro. If you have a few bucks try to pick up a tiny wee crawfish from rebel. Gills lovem!
